Jewellery Repair
To help keep your jewellery in excellent condition we recommend that you schedule for it to be cleaned at Lanes at least once a year. This will allow us to check for signs of damage or wear and tear and suggest a suitable repair before it becomes a serious problem.
If a treasured piece of jewellery becomes damaged we can offer a first class repair service.
Lanes can carry out complete restorations of favourite pieces.
From professionally cleaning jewellery, replacement of missing stones and mending broken or damaged items, we can take care of it for you. We will always advise you of the cost before proceeding.
Old Jewellery completely refurbished, rings sized, settings renewed, charms soldered, chains repaired.
(We have an on site workshop and offer a prompt service at very reasonable rates).
Cleaning and polishing
Make your jewellery look as good as new, have it cleaned, polished and returned to you. This is normally a next-day service. White gold pieces can be re-finished and re-rhodium plated if necessary.
Pearl and bead rethreading
We offer a complete restringing service for both necklets and bracelets.
We can rethread most bead and pearl items, from fine quality South Sea cultured pearls to semi-precious beads.

It is important for example that some watches are resealed to ensure water-resistancy - we can offer this service.
